Why this matters
Use the Move Window deliberately for positioning and understand which controls move the machine, store an origin or activate low-power laser output.
How it works
- Jog arrows move the laser by the configured Distance at the configured Speed.
- Set Origin creates a User Origin on supported systems; Clear Origin removes it.
- Set Finish Position controls where the head moves after a job on supported devices.
- The Fire control activates the laser at the specified low power and carries explicit eye-safety warnings.
Practical workflow
- Set a conservative jog Distance while learning machine movement.
- Use small jogs near physical edges or fixtures.
- Set Origin only when you intentionally want a reusable User Origin.
- Use Finish Position only after checking that the destination is clear.
- Use Fire only when appropriate for your laser and while following manufacturer eye-protection guidance.
What to watch for
- Large jog distances can run the head into a fixture or machine boundary.
