CSV production is reliable when the data file, the LightBurn placeholders, and the physical layout are treated as one controlled system. A correct-looking first label does not prove that the entire batch is safe.
Prepare the data file
Save the CSV as UTF-8 when names or other fields contain accented or non-ASCII characters. Keep one logical item per row and a consistent number of columns. LightBurn numbers both columns and rows from zero: the first column is referenced as %0, the second as %1, and the first data row is row 0.
Map a single record
Set each changing text object to Merge/CSV mode and enter the token for its column. Use Test to display the current row. Check punctuation, empty fields, leading zeros, and the longest value. If optional fields can be empty, decide whether Ignore Empty Vars should hide the entire object.
Control advancement
Current selects the active row. Start and End define the batch range, while Advance By controls how the current record changes. Auto-Advance is convenient only after the physical sheet and record sequence have been verified. Reset Current deliberately before rerunning an interrupted batch.
