Why this matters
A map of the main LightBurn windows and why Beginner Mode can be useful while you learn the essential workflow.
How it works
- Beginner Mode hides some advanced options so new users can focus on core controls instead of every possible setting at once.
- The Workspace is where design geometry is arranged; Cuts / Layers controls operations; Laser controls job positioning and execution.
- LightBurn's interface is customizable, so a missing window may simply be hidden rather than removed.
Practical workflow
- Identify the Workspace, Cuts / Layers window, Laser window and Library tab.
- Use Beginner Mode while learning Speed, Power, Mode, Preview, Start From and Framing.
- Open Window menu if an expected panel is missing.
- Use Reset to Default Layout if the interface has become difficult to recover.
- Disable Beginner Mode only when you need an advanced setting that is intentionally hidden.
What to watch for
- Do not interpret a hidden advanced option as a feature your laser does not support.
