Why this matters
Separate Image Mode laser settings from per-image processing controls so a change to one image does not unexpectedly affect everything on its layer.
How it works
- Adjust Image exposes Layer Settings that correspond to Cut Settings and Image Settings that correspond to per-image Shape Properties.
- Changes to Layer Settings can affect every image assigned to the same layer.
- Brightness, Contrast and Gamma are image-level processing controls, while Speed, Power and scan-related laser settings belong to the layer.
Practical workflow
- Give different processing tasks separate layers when they need different laser settings.
- Open Adjust Image and identify which controls are Layer Settings versus Image Settings.
- Use the live processed preview while changing tonal controls.
- Confirm the layer's Speed, Power and interval after image adjustments.
- Open the main Preview before running the job.
What to watch for
- Changing a shared layer setting for one selected image can change other images on that layer.
