Why this matters
Turn material tuning into a repeatable experiment instead of random Speed and Power guessing.
How it works
- Material Test can generate a grid that varies selected parameters such as Speed and Power.
- Universal settings such as interval, passes or frequency may remain constant across a test grid depending on the test configuration.
- A useful test changes controlled variables while keeping the rest of the setup consistent.
Practical workflow
- Define the target result: mark, engraving tone, clean cut or another measurable goal.
- Use the real material, focus and air setup.
- Choose a parameter range that is safe and wide enough to show differences.
- Select the best region, then run a smaller second test around that region.
- Record the final result in a Material Library with machine and material context.
What to watch for
- Do not change focus, air flow and material at the same time as Speed and Power if you want a meaningful comparison.
- Confirm speed units before entering a test range.
